So yesterday, we had a mommy & me play date and you guessed it, we painted pumpkins!! Check another thing off the Kolb Fall Bucket List. It was so much fun! This was also the first successful painting experience for Michael. He actually painted more of the pumpkin than himself. That makes me one proud and happy mommy.
It may seem pretty easy. Pumpkins and paint. But as a teacher, I have a few hacks that may make pumpkin painting a little easier. Are you ready for it? I have a roll of plastic table cloths. I lay it on the floor and I cut the length I want. Which means, there’s no mess on the floor or table. Every drip of paint lands on a table cloth that I can just throw away afterwards. The second thing, old t-shirts. I have several old t-shirts that I’ve bought over the years that I just don’t wear anymore. So instead of throwing them out, they are the perfect smock. The only thing that paint may get on is their hands because their clothes are completely covered (or take their pants off if the weather is cooler). Simple as that! Make sure to paint pumpkins with your little ones this fall season because it’s amazing!
